PC plastic process characteristics

The process characteristics of PC are: the melting viscosity is less sensitive to the shear rate, and the sensitivity to temperature is large, there is no obvious melting point, the molten viscosity is high, the resin is easy to hydrolyze at high temperature, and the finished product is easy to crack.

PC plastic injection molding process

In view of these characteristics of PC plastics, we should pay special attention to differential treatment: to increase the activity of the melt, it is not achieved by increasing the injection pressure but by accepting the increased injection temperature. The flow path and gate of the mold are required to be short and thick to reduce the pressure loss of the fluid, and at the same time the injection pressure is high.

The resin needs to be dried abundantly before molding to make its moisture content below 0.02%, and in addition, the resin should also be insulated during processing to prevent moisture absorption from new.

Not only reasonable product design is required, but also the molding process, such as improving the mold temperature, post-disposal of the finished product, etc., can reduce or eliminate internal stress. Adjust the process parameters in real time according to the different conditions of the products.

When PC plastics are processed by injection molding, the operators need to be familiar with the characteristics of the plastics themselves in order to inject into injection molded parts of acceptable quality.
