CNC Turning Process and Analysis

CNC Turning Process and Analysis

Process analysis is the pre-process preparation for hardware CNC turning. Whether the process is reasonable or not has an important impact on the later programming, the machining power of the machine tool and the machining accuracy of the parts. In order to compile a reasonable and useful machining program, the programmer is required not only to understand the operating principle, functional characteristics and structure of the CNC lathe. Master the programming language and programming format, and also master the workpiece processing technology, determine the reasonable cutting amount, and correctly select the tool and workpiece clamping method. Therefore, we should follow the general process guidelines and combine the characteristics of CNC lathes to analyze the CNC turning process of hardware parts processing in detail. The main contents of its analysis include: analyzing the processing requirements and rationality of the parts according to the processing drawings; inferring the clamping method of the workpieces on the CNC lathe; Preparations such as: selection of tools, fixtures and cutting quantities, etc.

The analysis of the part drawing is the primary task of formulating the CNC turning process. Mainly carry out the analysis of the scale marking method, the analysis of general geometric elements, and the analysis of precision and technical requirements. In addition, the rationality of the part structure and processing requirements should be analyzed, and the process benchmark should be selected.

Tongyang CNC's CNC turning process is divided into the following steps
1. Analysis of the scale labeling method
The scale marking method on the part drawing should be used to the processing characteristics of the CNC lathe, and the scale should be marked with the same datum or directly give the coordinate scale. This marking method is not only convenient for programming, but also conducive to the consistency of design basis, process basis, measurement basis and programming origin. If there is no consistent design basis for the dimensions in all directions on the part drawing, it can be considered to select a consistent process basis without affecting the accuracy of the part. Calculation transforms each scale to simplify programming calculations.
2. Summarize the analysis of geometric elements
In manual programming, the coordinates of each node are calculated. All geometric elements of the part outline are defined during automatic programming. Therefore, when analyzing the part drawing, it is necessary to analyze whether the given conditions of the geometric elements are sufficient.
3. Analysis of precision and skill requirements
Analysis of the accuracy and skills of the parts to be processed is an important part of the process analysis of the parts. Only on the basis of analyzing the dimensional accuracy and surface roughness of the parts can the processing methods, clamping methods, tools and cutting quantities be selected correctly and reasonably. Wait. Its main contents include: whether the analysis accuracy and various hard index technical requirements are complete and reasonable; whether the CNC turning machining accuracy tolerance of the process meets the drawing requirements, if not, other processing methods should be adopted to make up for it. At the same time, leave allowance for subsequent processes; for the surface with positional accuracy requirements on the drawing, it should be completed in one clamping; for the surface with high surface roughness requirements, it should be cut at constant linear speed (note: in the turning end face , the maximum spindle speed should be limited).
