The main types of plastic mold processing

Plastic mold is an abbreviation for a combined mold for extrusion, injection, compression, blow molding and low foam molding. The coordinated changes of the mold convex, concave mold and auxiliary molding system can process a series of plastic parts with different sizes and shapes.
Plastic molds are the mother of the industry, and now new product releases will involve plastics. In order to improve the performance of plastics, various auxiliary materials, such as plasticizers, stabilizers, fillers, lubricants, colorants, etc., must be added to the polymer to become a plastic with good performance.
So what are the main types of plastic mold processing?
1. Injection molding: Injection molding is a method of plastic mold processing. The molten plastic is injected into plastic product molds by pressure, and various plastic parts are obtained by cooling molding. There are mechanical injection molding machines dedicated to injection molding. The most commonly used plastic is polystyrene.
2. Rubber injection molding: Rubber injection molding is a method of plastic mold processing that injects rubber directly into the model from the barrel. The advantage of rubber injection molding is that although it is an intermittent operation, the molding cycle is short, the production efficiency is high, the blank preparation steps are eliminated, the labor intensity is small, and the product quality is excellent.
3. Forming: The resulting shape is usually the final product and requires no further processing before installation or use as a product. Many details, such as threads, ribs, bosses, can be formed in one injection molding operation.
Well, the above are the three aspects of plastic mold processing that I want to share today, for reference only.
